Guerwitcz's Story Line
Thad is at a night club with some of the other team members. They all have dates courtesy of McConnell, the quarterback. Thad's cell rings, he looks at the number but turns it off. His date knows there is something wrong and he explains that he is in the middle of a break up. Despite this they eventually kiss. The next day, Thad is on his cell again, obviously upset, telling his caller somewhat guardedly that they will talk about it later

As he takes the field for the game, the narration warns, "Football is deception. But sooner or later, it doesn't matter what you do, what you try, they're gonna figure it out. They're gonna catch you. They're gonna find out." The next scene finds Thad on the phone again, apologising, saying it won't happen again, saying that it's not over. The scene switches to the other side of the conversation, revealing he's talking to another man who says it is over because he can't live like this any longer.
